After the registration process has been successfully completed and you have activated your Lease a Bike account, you can visit the bike shop.
Step 2: Visit the local bike shop and choose the bike
With your order code in hand, you can visit one of the over 1,800 affiliated bike shops in our extensive network. The staff member at the bike shop can advise you on your desired bike and its specifications. After this, the dealer enters the specifications of your chosen bike into our platform. You can also directly add accessories at this stage, such as a helmet or an extra lock (an ART-2 certified lock is mandatory for e-bikes).
Step 3: Agreeing to the terms digitally
As soon as the dealer has entered the order into the system, you will automatically receive an email from us to review the user agreement (the addendum). It is important that you check whether all entered bike details, any accessories, and the selected service and maintenance package are completely correct. If everything is in order, you provide your digital approval on the platform. With this, you confirm the agreements with your employer regarding the lease amount and the addition to income (bijtelling).
Step 4: Handing over your PIN code and riding away immediately
Following your digital approval, we will send you a unique, 4-digit PIN code via email. This PIN code acts as your personal signature on the lease contract and also serves as the payment method in the shop. If your chosen dream bike is in stock and ready to ride, you hand over this PIN code to the bike shop. Please note: if the bike is not yet directly available or ready to ride, wait to provide the PIN code until the actual moment you take the bike home. As soon as the PIN code is entered, the contract is active, your bike is fully all-risk insured, and you are completely ready to cycle out of the shop!
