If the lease contract started before January 1, 2025, please check this article.
When an employee with an active lease contract leaves the company, the agreements stated in the addendum come into effect. Every employee signs this document before they are allowed to choose the lease bike.
We provide a sample addendum. This document states, for example, that the colleague leaving the company must pay off the remaining lease terms net. In this construction, the company pays the remaining terms to the leasing company, after which the employer settles these costs with the employee. Depending on the company's chosen condition, the employee has the following 4 options:
1. The employee who leaves the company can have the existing lease contract taken over by a colleague within the company.
2. The employee who leaves the company can take the existing lease contract to another company that is already connected or willing to connect.
3. The employee decides not to take over the bike and pay off the remaining lease terms (excluding service and insurance costs).
Example: You choose a bike worth €2500 with a gross lease amount of €90 per month and decide to leave after 24 months on your own initiative. You decide not to take over the bike. The final settlement will be as follows: (€90 - €23 per month). 12 x €67 = €804.
4. The employee decides to take over the bike and pay off the remaining lease terms (excluding service and insurance costs) plus the purchase price of the bike.
Example: The employee chose a bike worth €2500 with a gross lease amount of €90 per month and decides to leave after 24 months on their own initiative. The employee decides to take over the bike. The final settlement will be as follows: (€90 - €23 per month). 12 x €67 = €804 + €500 (20% of the new value) = €1,304.
